3rd December 2020 – YULE TIDE LOCAVORE GROWING BOX

Our festive YULETIDE Locavore Growing Box is now available to pre-order. Deliveries will begin from 15th December, numbers are limited so get your order in now! As always, for every box sold, we will donate one to a Folkestone family.

We’ve made a special bumper box with extra activities for the festive season, with a focus on growing food guided by the moon, including: A limited edition risograph Lunar Calendar for 2021, created by Custom’s Cherry Truluck; herb seeds to grow on your window ledge; Compost to grow the seeds in and markers for keeping track of your seedlings; Ingredients to make a luxurious festive treats; Everything you’ll need for our family crafting activity; Bird seed for making winter feeding balls; A packed information leaflet with a wild food focus on seaweed and information on lunar gardening.

We will continue to deliver for free within Folkestone & Hythe during December and can now also offer postage options outside Folkestone so you can share with friends and relatives. The Locavore Growing Box is designed to fit through a letterbox, so delivery is completely non-contact. Deliveries take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays thanks to Re:Stock Kent. If you are volunteering with us, you can arrange to collect from one of our garden sites.

For every Locavore Growing Box that we sell, we’ll be making a growing kit available for free to a local household. These will mainly be distributed through Martello School, but if you would like to nominate someone who could use a bit of extra support at the moment please get in touch – locavore@customfoodlab.org
